After several unsuccessful purchases of a used plant stand that were each being advertised for sale on online classified ads, a friend reworked two pillars that he was allowed to retrieve from a garbage bin at a local store.

Over a week ago now, I started searching for a simple plant stand 36″-39″ in height. After searching for new plant stands online, and realizing I was looking at having to spend hundreds of dollars for new, I decided that I would gladly settle for buying a used plant stand that needed painting.
Searching with Google, I found a few used plant stands listed for sale on Kijiji, but the owners did not respond to my emailed questions. Then I noticed that Google seems to be ignoring one of THE best online classified ad servers EVER… Craigslist!
On June 13, 2002, the most beautiful puppy in the world was born. Claims were made that this little fella was a Shih Tzu and for my purposes throughout his life, I recognized him as a Shih Tzu, though no registration papers were ever supplied.

After trying many promising window cleaners, then focusing on using only vinegar and water to wash my windows these past few years, this year I decided to give this recipe a try …and, VOILA! This is MY idea of a great, inexpensive, less-labour intensive way of cleaning MY windows this year.
On September 18, 2012, Thane Direct shipped me my 3-pc set of Flavourstone cookware with one lid, at the cost of $115.08. I have to admit, their raving list of benefits for using their cookware that was given during their infomercial had me intrigued.
