Lower Back Injury Sufferer – Here’s a Relief!

In 2009, I was faced with a company initiated early retirement which took effect on October 1. Having a mortgage to finish paying for, plus other costs, I was forced to re-prioritize my needs while trying to maintain my standard of living.

By 2011, hired snow removal became one of those costs that had to be sacrificed. Being a long-term, lower back injurer sufferer for several years now, I wasn’t sure how this would end up.

Thankfully, I had seen an infomercial about True Back long before the snow started flying… and was so impressed with what they offered that I telephoned my order in, straight away. I had been using their product for over a month before I had to start shovelingTrueBack my own driveway of snow.

Back in the early 90’s, I suffered a horrendous, lower back injury from repetitive work. I’ve never been one to be held down or back with any illness or injury for any length of time and thus found this to be the worst thing to have ever happened to me.

Being overly anxious to get back to work, it turned out that I returned to my workplace too early and suffered a relapse that I was sure I would never heal from… thus I also suffered from depression. Thankfully, my physical therapists, and chiropractor brought me back to being able to continue working for a living, and I shall be ever thankful to them all.

However, I have had to learn to live with limitations for many years now, and for a mostly A Type personality, I found this to be most difficult… but necessary if I wanted to continue my independence with living as close to a normal life as I can.

Over the years, I have seen many infomercials claiming to help lower back injuries and have never trusted any of them. The fact that True Back was being offered with a money back guarantee… AND… a chiropractor’s approval meant everything to me.

With regular stretch exercising and daily use of my True Back, I actually got away with shoveling my own snow in 2011. After shoveling snow, I did NOTHING else for that day. I’d even lay on my living room floor for awhile, relaxing my back muscles, NEVER over taxing them.

And, please do NOT misunderstand my post, I still see my chiropractor regularly… and even go in for deep-tissue massages monthly. It’s just that the True Back now affords me quicker relief from my left leg ‘gimp’ on a regular basis.

Many friends and acquaintances who now suffer with back problems have come to me for advice, knowing that I have suffered with a lower back injury for years now. So I decided to create this post to direct those to who asked for my advice on relief for lower back injury suffering… and so, Here’s a Relief –> True Back!

TIP: When ordering True Back, stay with the regular black plastic model (no battery operated vibrator necessary!) and the lowest price for shipping and handling. Leastwise, that’s how I saved money when I purchased this product!

Given my passion for genealogy, is it any wonder that I eventually wanted to publish my work? Learning to use a personal computer was a natural step once I was introduced it in the 1990s. Then the internet offered a second means to "publish" and now, here I am with a personal blog.

  1. Hi Trish,

Just thought I would let you know about a product I have been using for almost 20 years – it’s called the Sacro Wedgy and you can see it at https://www.sacrowedgy.com/ (no affiliate link)

    Long post – sorry….

I fell off a cliff when I was 21, landed on my butt onto sand from about 40 or 50 feet, and actually walked away from it. Next day I was stiff as a board and in great pain – that lasted about 6 months till it finally healed. But every year since then I would put out my back for some trivial reason, and for another 20 years went to various osteopaths for treatment.

Until one day I came out worse than I went in, and had awful sciatica. This was around 2001. I was in worse pain that ever, and wondered how I could live with this. But cruising the internet I found sacrowedgy.com – the website talked about not only lower back pain, but knee pain & heel pain that I had suffered with for years, never realizing it was reflected pain from the lower back.

Anyway, I bought the male wedgy and the neck pillow. It arrived in the UK within a week, and I lay on the floor with the wedgy under my butt for 20 minutes a day for about a month.

The sciatica went, heel pain and knee pain also gone! It was like magic. For the last 20 years, every time I get a twinge or a sciatica attack, or I put my back out, I get on the wedgy and after a few treatments all is well again.

I put my back out again the other day, so I am back on the wedgy – a couple of times a day since yesterday. And already I am walking about with ease, and the pain is lifting too. Another couple of days and I will be right as rain again!

No pain killers (well, whisky & aspirin) and no physio or osteopath.

I recommend the Sacro Wedgy to anyone I see hobbling around. It worked for me, and it works for most people with lower back issues. Not everyone – it depends on the injury, I guess. But it has made such a difference to my life.

The wedgy is not particularly comfortable to use, but it works. Please check out the website (I left a review on there years ago). It costs around $33 for the wedgy, and I advise getting the neck pillow. I have had the wedgy for about 20 years now, and probably saved thousands in physio bills.

I hope your readers try it out.

    Cheers,
    Ian

    • Wow Ian,

Much appreciate your sharing your experience with a great piece of equipment you’ve found works. I’ve now bookmarked this one as I WILL be ordering the Male Sacro Wedgy for the reasons that Cindy Littlefield mentioned in her video. This looks to be very useful indeed.

My cousin who suffers from Parkinson’s disease and myself have BOTH experienced much comfort from the True Back.

But I am open to adding a new form of relief to try, especially after discovering my left Sacroiliac joint is causing me much pain. It seems like this would be PERFECT for when my Illacus muscles decide to spasm on me like they did this past spring.

And BOY, let me tell you… THAT pain is really uncomfortable to put it lightly. So, your suggestion of the Sacro Wedgy is now on my list of things to obtain before the year is out.

Thank YOU again for suggesting such an awesome tool to help those of us suffering from lower back pain. Much appreciated.

  2. I’m hypermobile, so because the vertebrae move around, they lock up in at least 5 places continuously. I’ve also had surgery twice for a herniated disc (L4-L5). I could really use one of those to crack things back into place in between my monthly chiropractor and massage visits.

    • I hear you loud and clear Linda, which is why, in the beginning that I purchased this… to service my spine in between chiropractor appointments.
Thankfully I have never required surgery. However, I have found the need to see my chiropractor has dropped substantially since using the True Back, along with the regular routine of exercises and stretches set up by my kinesiologist (or athletic therapist as he prefers to be called) Matthew Leech.
